Transition to Work Services (TTW)
Service Desciption
Transition to Work Services are provided to individuals
registered
with Work and Income to assist them to return to the workforce.
Services provide information and instruction in job search techniques
and interviews skills on a one to one basis.
Curriculum Vitae Preparation
An individual service accessible to clients under the
‘Transition to Work’ funding, whereby they select
their preferred service provider. A targeted Curriculum Vitae is
prepared for clients to assist them in active job search. Each client
is provided with a Curriculum Vitae pack that contains a slip bound
copy of the Curriculum Vitae, one laser copy, two photocopies, an
electronic copy, and guidelines on how to use their Curriculum Vitae.
Covering Letter Training
An individual service accessible to clients under the
‘Transition to Work’ funding, whereby they select
their preferred service provider. This service includes interactive
training where clients are provided with individualised training and
resources on how to prepare targeted covering letters as part of active
job search. Where required, covering letters are prepared and sent to
employers where the client is actively seeking employment.
Interview Skills
An individual service accessible to clients under the
‘Transition to Work’ funding, whereby they select
their preferred service provider. This service includes two sessions.
In the first session clients are provided with information and guidance
on preparing for and participating in an employment interview, as well
as guidelines on responding to difficult questions, and ideas on
questions to ask. The second session involves a role play, feedback and
further coaching on increasing performance. Clients are also provided
with an Interview Skills workbook as a resource.
Job Search Techniques
An individual service accessible to clients under the
‘Transition to Work’ funding, whereby they select
their preferred service provider. This service includes two sessions.
In the first session clients are provided with information on the
various job search techniques utilised, a job search diary and
training/guidance on using selected job search methods. Job search
goals are also set. In the second session job search is reviewed and
further active job search undertaken. Clients are also provided with
Job Search Techniques workbook as a resource.
